On the occasion of World Environment Day, The Bridge India Trust organized a series of engaging and educational activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and action among children. This year’s theme, “Beat Plastic Pollution,” focused on the urgent need to end global plastic pollution and inspire sustainable living practices.
To promote environmental awareness and encourage productive use of summer vacations, The Bridge Trust organized an engaging workshop on Waste Management for children on May 10. The session aimed to instil the importance of protecting the environment through creative reuse and recycling.
We were honored to welcome Ms. Mridul Singh, Founder of Ek Koshish Special Schools, as the resource person for the workshop. Under her expert guidance, children enthusiastically participated in hands-on activities where they transformed everyday waste materials like newspapers and Blinkit bags into useful items such as shopping bags, pen sets, and multipurpose stands.
A special thanks also goes to Dr. Rabiraj, a dedicated volunteer from NGO PRIYA, who provided constant support to the children throughout the workshop. His patient guidance and enthusiastic involvement helped spark greater creativity and excitement among the participants.
The workshop was both educational and fun, inspiring the children to adopt eco-friendly habits while unleashing their creativity.
We sincerely thank Ms. Mridul Singh and Dr. Rabiraj for their invaluable contributions in making this workshop a memorable and impactful experience for all.
Children from various age groups participated enthusiastically in a Painting and Poster Competitioncentered around environmental conservation and the hazards of plastic pollution. The competition aimed to spark creativity and instil a sense of responsibility towards nature from a young age.
We were deeply honored to have two eminent figures from the world of art as judges:
The winners of the competition will be felicitated during the 3rd Anniversary Celebration of The Bridge Trust on July 9.
To further deepen awareness, a Quiz Competition was also conducted, designed to engage children in fun and informative sessions on environmental issues. Divided into Junior and Senior categories, the event saw energetic participation, lively discussions, and valuable learning moments.
The winners of the quiz will also be awarded on our 3rd Anniversary, making it a celebration of both knowledge and commitment to a greener future.
